Mr. Jacobs (born 1947, July 16) graduated from his studies in mechanical engineering and business administration, Twente University (BK T.H. Twente) in 1974.

In 1982, he got the certificate of the post academic study 'Media, developments in the sphere of information and education', presented by Vrije Universiteit-VU Amsterdam together with UvA-Universiteit van Amsterdam.

After participation - with outstanding results - in the examinations in 1998, he got the certificate 'SPD Bedrijfsadministratie' (Business Administration) concerning 'Bedrijfscalculatie' (Money Calculus) and 'Bedrijfseconomie I' (Business Economics).

From 1974 till 1979, he was a production engineer, employed by Thomassen & Drijver-Verblifa NV in Deventer and from then until 1984, counsellor Executive Committee, Perscombinatie NV in Amsterdam.

Founded JBA-Databank in 1983.

From 1985 till 2006, part-time Teacher of Business Economics, at first with IHBO 'De Maere', later merged with Saxion Hogescholen.

From 2006 on, Independent Researcher Business Economics, Author, Consultant and freelance Teacher of Business Economics.
